Well, kind of.

Some time ago I found GlovePie, a program that makes an interface with Wiimote and the computer via Bluetooth. I started experience the GlovePie with some scripts to control PowerPoint. It’s simple to put it together. Just install the glovepie, load the powerpoint script, turn on the bluetooth on the computer and final turn on the wiimote, and voilá. It’s working. Forward, backward and black screen can be done with a simple touch of a button.

Well, that’s interesting, but even cooler it’s the script to control the google earth application.

But what about the rowing machine and the boat? Well, I have a rowing machine, I have a computer with bluetooth, I have a wiimote, GlovePie installed on the computer and I’m a computer engineer. I love to do my rowing at night but can get very boring, so I decided to create an application to simulate a rowing down a river. This will be made by attaching the wiimote to the cord that holds the handle and sending the movement to the computer via GlovePie. So far so good. I already tried, and it was pretty cool. Now I only need to create the river application. I will try to join the fun to the useful, so I will create the application using Microsoft Silverlight. I already have the Microsoft Expression trial and some photos of trees and river water. I think now will be the hard part, to gather everything on the computer and make the impression that everything is moving with the rowing movement.

I will update this post with the program (eventually :) ).
